Julia O'Connor - Soprano
Julia was educated at Eastbourne College where she held a significant music scholarship. She continued her musical education at the University of York where she obtained a Bachelor of Music in 2000. During her time at York she performed as a soloist in works such as Poulenc Gloria, Bach St Matthew Passion and St John Passion, lead roles in Purcell Dido and Aeneas and The Fairy Queen. Her recital performances included works by Quilter, Scarlatti, Purcell, Schumann and Strauss. Since leaving university Julia has continued to sing as a soloist in oratorio and opera. She has a very impressive repertoire and future engagements for 2015 include many Oratorio works and the lead role of Ellen Orford in Bath Opera's performance of Britten's Peter Grimes.
Clara Murnig
Austrian pianist Clara Murnig started to learn the piano at a very young age. At seventeen she went to study at the University of Performing Arts Vienna where she graduated with distinction. She went on to study at the Royal College of Music in London for a Master in Performance in Piano Accompaniment and graduated in 2013. Following her passion for Lieder she attended masterclasses at the Schubert Institute Baden. She is also focusing on contemporary music. She is looking forward to future Lieder recitals. She is now Professor of Piano in Vienna.
